Quick Map of underground green lake

Didn't have time to get this ready. So here is what I was able to get out for you.

Great chat going on from the last post! Hope to hear from some of the silent ones :)

Remember on this map, 1 square is 10 feet.

I wonder if a high level monk could clear that jump?

The frightening thing is... I'll bet a 20th level monk with the correct feats could. Now thats an Olympic event!

Well, if 1 square is 10 feet there, that's about 110 feet straight diagonal (with a few feet give or take for landing, plus I imagine there a little less being the landing is lower than the take off).. Oh where oh where is Mike when you need him..

.. Probably shaving his 20 siders.

We should've rolled an army of monks.

Sorry for the delay. My new dice require a lot more shaving and testing than my old dice with all of the 20s on them. If it was a 45 degree angle, and offhand it looks like less than that, it'd be about 1.5 times 110 feet, or 165 feet.

Then again, you wouldn't have to jump the whole distance in this case - you can jump less than that and count on your forward momentum to clear the last bit of distance as you descend. However, without a nearby wall, even a monk would take a buttload of damage.

The real question is, how much of it can a dwarf in full plate wearing boots of striding and springing clear?

I think they removed the monk's special ability that made the monks jumps boundless in 3.5. Otherwise, I bet Phadian could make it, survive the 20d6 damage and in less than 2 min be back at full with that amazing regeneration we all have now.

In the new 4th Edition, we jump 60' and move at a base of 190'... True story

Until then, we need a push. Or a hefty launch from a ballista. Or a Bigby's "Knock your ass over there" hand. (Also in the 4th Ed.)

Disclaimer: No dwarf tossin' jokes beyond this post.

The only way a Dwarf could make it would make it is to have a featherfall and a gust of wind!

Oh come on, its a dwarf. We are talking a ramp, grease and the battering ram spell..... and launch!

Hi folks!

I was hopin' there would be a new post up by Siggy, but I'd figure I'd throw something here in the hopes it gets seen.

First off, new order of the stick is up, after a brief hiatus from the author. Wha-hoo!

Secondly, Robert Jordan passed away last night. I'm sure most people know him from the Wheel of Time and Conan books. From what I've read, the last book will be published. RIP RJ..
